Gout is probably the most painful type of rheumatic disease one can ever experience. It is a combination of pain made up of arthritis attacks as well as inflammation. That is why many people who are affected by gout are doing their best just to avoid experiencing this condition.

Alcohol beverages, particularly cocktails, can trigger gout. Cutting back on alcohol can make a big difference in the intensity of pain.

There are also advisable foods that you must include in your diet if you have gout. This includes cherries, carrot juice, banana, lime, beet juice, cucumber, apples and French beans. The amount varies depending on the health care specialist who keeps track of your gout.

You must also avoid taking too much acidic foods if you want to avoid experiencing the pain of this annoying gout.

However, these medicines may sometimes not work or even give adverse effects. Treating depression can actually start with a perfect diet that is specially meant for this condition.

If you think that you have depression, stop eating junk foods. Not only that it can give you more pounds but it can also decrease your brain’s function and deregulates your neurotransmitters. The latter is responsible for your reactions and your behaviors.

Some of the foods that you must eat includes foods that are rich in carbohydrates, essentials fats such ass Omega-3, foods that have amino acid tryptophan (this includes turkey, chicken, peas, and fish), and even garlic.

These foods must be included in your anti-depressant meal/diet so you can get back to your old self in no time!

With the hectic life that people have today, it is impossible to keep track of the foods that they should eat in order to cope up with their llifestyle. That is why they depend on multi-vitamins so that they will have nutrients before their day starts.

But many are wondering if these multivitamins would really do wonders in their body since there are reported cases that some are actually doing more harm than good. For example, if a smoker takes beta-carotene, there is a high possibility that he will have lung cancer (according to the studies made by the University of Washington).

Try to ask yourself before taking any multivitamin. If you think that you are already eating a balanced diet and you are living a healthy lifestyle, then there is no need to take a capsule of multivitamins everyday. Remember that multivitamins can add nutrients to your body but having more than enough can actually be harmful for your health.

Who doesn’t want to look gorgeous and have a body to die for? Anyone can actually have it as long as they cut back on eating fats. But meat is one of the tastiest foods right? So here are some tips that would allow you to enjoy meat without taking in so much fat in your body.

Always buy only the lean cut meats

As much as possible, avoid frying food. Instead use other fat-free ways of cooking like baking, grilling, broiling, or roasting the meat

Cook meat soup in advance. Refrigerate it afterwards then take off the fats that will harden at the top of the boiled meat.

Trim off all the visible fats before cooking.

Got any idea how to lessen the amount of fat that you would take?

Being healthy does not mean that you always have to eat the tasteless. You can actually start being fit and fab by replacing the ingredients that you usually use in your recipes with a healthier one.

If you need butter or oil for baking, try use only the half of what is needed and replace the other half with prune puree or applesauce.

Rather than putting margarines, cooking oils, and butter to prevent the food from sticking in your pan, why not buy a non-stick pan instead or use a cooking spray?

Stop eating white bread. Take a bite of the whole wheat bread instead.

When shopping for canned soups, make sure that you only get soups that are fat-free and milk-based.

Got any other substitutes? Share with us some of the ingredients that you use!

Experiment – stop the same old boring healthy food recipe. Try to browse other recipes which can bring life to your dull healthy diet. Toss in some tropical fruits in your cabbage and lettuce or use create peach sandwich instead of the old peanut butter & jelly.

Add beans - black beans or chick pea can be tasty when mixed with salad

Think soya - try frying some tofu rather than drinking soymilk

Add flavor, add texture -ditch the old Thousand Islands. Use salsa in your healthy food and combine it with chunks of meat like chicken or tuna.

We know for a fact that canned foods have longer shelf life compared to the fresh foods that you can buy on grocery stores. However, experts said that the shelf-life of these canned foods are actually shorter than its expiration date.

Canned foods that are high in acids including juice, fruits, and tomatoes must only be in shelves for no more than 18 months. On the other hand, the canned goods storing foods that are low in acid like meat and vegetables can last for at least two years up to five years max.

However, the shelf life of the canned foods can be shorter especially if you don’t store it properly. You must place it in a dry cabinet, away from moist or heat. That is why storing canned foods above the stove is not recommended.
