But today, there are now energy drinks that are sugar-free but can still give you the same result as well. This is because there is still huge amount of caffeine that would compensate for the sugar so that you can still get that extra kick that you need.

However, there are adverse effects when taking too much energy drinks. Because of the sugar, it is possible that you gain a few pounds. And thanks to the caffeine, you may experience irritability, nervousness, and increase in blood pressure.

A healthy lifestyle is still the safest bet if you want to have a boosted energy all the time.

Many are confused about the benefits and disadvantages of using MSG or sodium in their foods. Contrary to what people belive, sodium is actually important in building a healthier you. Of course, just like all things, having too much or excessive sodium can also be dangerous to one’s health.

Small amount of sodium can actually be good for your well-being. In fact, sodium aids in transmitting the nerve impulses throughout your body. Sodium also plays an important role in your muscles’ relaxation as well as contraction. Other than that, sodium is also responsible in maintaining the balance of liquid in your body as well.

However, the use of sodium is no longer advisable for oldies especially if you are already in your senior years. This may lead to health problems such as kidney failure, diabetes, and high blood pressure
