Will you kill bad bacteria when you put your meat at the freezer?
Posted by: AnGhel / Category: OtherContrary to what most moms believe, freezing poultry, fish or meat products would not actually kill the harmful germs and bacteria that are present in the meat. Freezing would only help in inhibiting th growth of these germs. By the time that you thaw the meat, the bacteria and the germs will start reproducing again.
The only thing that could help you in killing those bacteria is by cooking. See to it that you cook it over a temperature of 71 degree Celcius or equivalent to 160 degree Fahrenheit. To measure the temperature, stick the food thermometer at the thickest part of the meat. Keep on cooking the meat until it is cooked and the bacteria is destroyed.
